There might sometimes be problems with the quality of the fuel, so it's better to use petrol stations that have some sort of brand name (RosNeft, TNK, LukOIL, Gazpromneft are among the best ones).

The road rules are basically the same as in Europe, and you won't have problems following the signs as well. Usually the cameras are installed on the major motorways and city avenues. The maximum speed limit inside the city is 60 km / hour, while if you drive at about 90 km / hour outside of cities, you won't have problems with traffic police. Your car should have a first-aid kit and a fire extingiusher (this is the traffic police requirement).
Also, you shouldn't worry if you get stopped even if you think you did nothing wrong: the check-ups are regular and if your documents are OK, the inspector will take 1 minute and wish you a nice journey.
